State of the Nation

The following was recently written by a registrant on Tutors International’s web site. The writer sensibly thought better of actually applying for a position:

“I am a science educator teaching mostly science subjects. My philosophy about teaching is that learners have variable interests and acumen to learn and the teachers responsibility is to incite curiosity in students. Once you have managed to make them curious about the subject then the remaining work to polish them in activities becomes easy. An interested learner learns few times faster than an uninterested learner.”

Clearly this teacher was taught by an English teacher who mostly taught English…
