Rights and Wrongs

One of the position currently listed (February 2017) on our site asks all applicants the following question:

Do you have the right to live and work in Austria?

One applicant responded with this bombastic and asinine answer:

I have the right to live anywhere in the world. When it comes to work, I may need permission from the immigration.

I think what he means is that the right to do something is indepedent of the legality of doing that thing.  It’s like saying that one has the right to steal, just not the permission to!  Does this person mean that the law is not something that governs his rights.

Whatever he means he will not be working with Tutors International, you will be relieved to hear, but it does worry me that these kinds of ideas are promulgated to our children without restraint.
